BikeFit Pros are professional bicycle fitters who begin by completing Level One (Green) BikeFit Education. This 2 day program will cover all the skills necessary to conduct a bike fit. This includes examination of and required adjustments to saddle height, saddle fore/aft, cockpit length, handlebar drop and handlebar rotation. In addition, at bike fit we believe that the foot pedal interface is the foundation for the cyclist. That is why we will be teaching what it takes to evaluate the pedal stoke and determine whether any cleat adjustments are needed, including wedging for varus (inward) or valgus (outward) deviation. This is a critical contact point for the cyclist one that is often over looked, not at BikeFit Canada.
The Green Level course is held at the BC Bike Fit studio in North Vancouver. But, if you are a bike shop, coach or physiotherapist looking to enroll the course can be held at your place of work or in a suitable space nearby. Although specific calendar dates are being offered we also have the ability to schedule a date so that it meets the needs of you and your employees.
Upon completion of the course BikeFit Canada can provide BikeFit tools and parts, along with on-going support so you can show commitment to helping cyclists in the best way possible. Purchasing BikeFit products, such as Cleat Wedges, for use in bike fits goes with the territory. We’re not going to tell you how to conduct your business. But we do expect you’ll provide the same in-depth analysis and adjustment during a fitting that we provide during our trainings.
BikeFit Pros will receive a certificate indicating that they have completed the Green Level course. The individual will also receive a t-shirt and a complimentary pair of cycling footbeds (Con formable or Superfeet) Plus, your name and place of business will be added to the find a fitter page on the BikeFit Canada web site.
